1. Discounts
1a. Children’s Discount: For children born between 2011 and 2019. Proof must be provided with a valid photo ID. Children under 6 years of age (born 2020 or later), when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, travel free of charge provided they are carried on the lap and do not occupy their own seat. Information and ticket issuance available at the ticket offices.
1b. Child in Family Group: Child/children accompanied by at least one adult/senior. Within a family group of three or more children, the youngest child travels free. If the family consists of more than three children, every additional child from the third child onward also travels free. The family rate can only be granted if the tickets are purchased together and at the same time. Proof of age must be provided with a valid photo ID.
1c. Youth Discount: For youths born between 2007 and 2010. Proof must be provided with a valid photo ID.
1d. Senior Discount: For individuals born in 1960 or earlier. Proof must be provided with a valid photo ID.
1e. Persons with Disabilities: Persons with a disability degree of 60% or more receive the child rate according to the applicable tariff sheet upon presentation of a valid disability ID. Excluded: point cards, season passes, paragliding tickets, and bike tickets.
2. Data Carriers / Lift Tickets: Depending on the ticket type, tickets are issued as contactless single-use tickets, barcode tickets, or reusable “key cards.” For key cards, a deposit of €5 is charged in addition to the ticket price. Upon return of the undamaged key card, the €5 deposit will be refunded.
3. Refunds: Bad weather, unforeseen or premature departure, operational interruptions, official closures, weather-related or operational suspension of individual facilities do not entitle the holder to price reductions, refunds, or extensions of the issued lift ticket.
4. Photo Recording: Information pursuant to Section 24 of the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG 2000) regarding “Photo Compare”: By purchasing a ticket, the guest consents to the personal photographic recording and storage of data at ticket offices and access points (turnstiles). These data are used for control purposes to prevent misuse of tickets.
5. Cyclists: Cycling is permitted exclusively on designated bike routes (see gerlitzen.com or lake.bike). By purchasing bike tickets, the guest acknowledges that the Gerlitzen Alpe cable car operators do not operate any downhill trails and therefore fully disclaim liability for accidents or property damage resulting from riding. 6. General Provisions: Only valid lift tickets entitle holders to use our facilities. By purchasing a lift ticket, the guest accepts our General Terms and Conditions and other applicable regulations. Purchased lift tickets are non-refundable. No replacement is provided for lost or forgotten tickets. Lift tickets are non-transferable and must be presented upon request to control staff within the control zones. Ticket control is carried out via electronic readers or visual inspection (depending on the facility). Ticket misuse is punishable and will result in immediate ticket withdrawal, exclusion from transport, a fine, and possible official reporting. Instructions given by cable car staff and parking staff must be followed. Failure to comply will result in ticket withdrawal and exclusion from transport.
