Rules for ski tourers at the Gerlitzen Alpe
- Ski slopes are primarily reserved for users of cable cars and lifts.
- Skiers must not be obstructed or endangered by tourers ascending the mountain.
- The ascent is permitted exclusively on the Gerlitzen Klösterle ascent route and only along the edge of the slope (FIS Rule No. 7).
- Crossing the slope is strictly prohibited.
- Bringing dogs is strictly prohibited.
- Special caution is required near crests, narrow sections, and steep slopes.
- The prohibition of using a closed slope also applies to tourers ascending the mountain.
- All slopes are closed from 16:30 to 08:30. Entering the slope areas during this time is strictly prohibited — life-threatening danger!
For the descent, please note:
According to §33, skiing in forest areas within the vicinity of lift facilities (e.g., cable cars) is permitted only on marked slopes. The “area of lift facilities” refers to the area reachable from the mountain station of a lift, but in any case to an area extending 500 meters on both sides of the lift, slope, or marked descent. Therefore, descend exclusively on marked slopes. Violations will result in a fine/official report.
