This scenic cycling tour with a mountain cable car ascent (including bike transport) starts at the foot of the Gerlitzen in Annenheim. After purchasing the ticket for the first section plus bike transport, you comfortably glide up around 950 scenic vertical meters to Kanzelhöhe with the Gerlitzen cable car.
Upon exiting, keep left and immediately reach the asphalt road leading to the former Kanzelhöhe mountain station. However, after reaching the asphalt road, turn briefly right and follow the road until you reach the junction where it meets the toll road.
From here, the descent toward Treffen begins without any further turns. In Treffen, the descent ends directly at the Millstätter Bundesstraße (B98), where you turn onto the R2b cycle path back toward Lake Ossiach. The cycle path first leads through Treffen and later through Neudorf, where you cross Ossiacher Straße near the Billa store and head toward the underpass. Before the underpass, turn right and continue following the cycle path toward the outflow of Lake Ossiach. Shortly before the bridge, follow St. Andräer Straße again northward. Cross St. Andräer Straße once more near the campsite. After a few minutes, you will reach the starting point of the tour again at the shore of Lake Ossiach.
The weight of bicycles must not exceed 25 kg for transport. Bikes are attached to a mount on the outside of the gondola, so the maximum weight limit cannot be exceeded. Please check the weight before departure. For e-bikes, the battery can be transported separately to keep the bike weight under 25 kg if necessary.
