Paragliding at Gerlitzen Alpe

The Gerlitzen Alpe is known as an El Dorado for paragliding thanks to its impressive elevation difference of nearly 1,400 meters. With relatively stable weather throughout the year, paragliding here offers the chance to experience the region from a completely new perspective.

The mountain provides ideal conditions for both beginners and advanced pilots. With several launch sites at different altitudes, everyone can find their perfect spot. Lake Ossiach, located right next to the landing areas in Treffen, offers ideal conditions for safety training and acrobatic flying. Paragliders from all over the world soar majestically through the sky, thrilling spectators with their aerial acrobatics.

Attention! In summer 2026, due to construction work on the Kanzelbahn II (second section), it will not be possible to ride all the way to the summit. The summit can be reached via the Kanzelbahn, Moserbahn, and Pöllingerbahn as far as the Pöllingerhütte. From there, it is about a 45-minute walk to the launch site at the summit.

All paragliding tickets include passenger transport, launch site fee, and baggage. If the flying conditions are poor, you can take the cable car back down to the valley free of charge.
