The Gerlitzen Alpe is easily, sustainably, and stress-free accessible by public transport. Thanks to its excellent connection to the ÖBB rail network, travelling without a car is simple and convenient - ideal for day visitors, hikers, and holiday guests.
With trains operated by ÖBB, you can travel comfortably to Annenheim railway station at Lake Ossiach. The station is located in close proximity to the valley station of the Kanzelbahn and is only about a five-minute walk away. The short walking route is clearly signposted and leads directly from the station to the cable car - it hardly gets any easier or more convenient than this. Once you arrive at the valley station, the Kanzelbahn comfortably takes you up to the Gerlitzen Alpe. In just a few minutes, you immerse yourself in the impressive mountain landscape with breathtaking panoramic views, fresh alpine air, and a wide range of leisure activities -in summer as well as in winter.

- For holders of a 20-Hour Season Pass, Gerlitzen Season Pass, or an online booked day ticket (1 day, morning, or 3-hour ticket), arrival with ski equipment on all ÖBB S-Bahn trains is already included in the ski pass.
- If you travel with a Climate Ticket or an ÖBB Advantage Card and a valid train ticket, you can purchase the day ticket for the Gerlitzen Alpe at the discounted price of only €62.50 instead of €69.50.
- Through the ÖBB Experience World, you can conveniently book your combined train-and-ski package online. Your ski experience starts right at the train platform.
- For all guests arriving by train who need a place to store their luggage, lockers are available at the top station of the Kanzelbahn at a cost of €1 per locking process (coin-operated!).
